Our programs

The Friends of the Marion Public Library (MPL) is a citizen volunteer organization that promotes the use of the library and provides financial assistance for various purchases and programs.

Our programs

The Friends of MPL sponsors periodic book sales, provides the Friends Home Book Program for homebound patrons, and is a local affiliate for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Funds from the book sales are used to support reading and speaker programs, purchase special equipment and information resources, sponsor author visits, and help with other special projects. We'll reopen our used book store in the new library building once it is completed in 2022!
