Our programs

The Friends of the Marion Public Library (MPL) is a citizen volunteer organization that promotes the use of the library and provides financial assistance for various purchases and programs.

Our programs

The Friends of MPL sponsors periodic book sales and is a local affiliate for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Funds from our bookstore and book sales are used to support library programs and special projects not covered by their budget, such as the Home Book Program, the library's movie licenses, the Novelist online resource, and the library's subscription to BookPage. We'll reopen our used book store in the new library building once it is completed in 2022!
