We Welcome Your Donations
We are happy to accept your donations of gently used hardcover, softcover, and children's books. Please use your good judgement; if the book is too worn for your personal collection, it's unlikely we can re-sell it.
We do not accept donations of music CDs, DVDs, or other media. We will accept magazines if they are no older than two months.
Drop off your donations to our friendly bookstore volunteers anytime during regular library hours, or if you'll need assistance getting your books into the library, email FriendsBookDonations@marionpubliclibrary.org to arrange a time. We can provide receipts for tax purposes.

Spring Book Sale Scheduled!
Come visit us at the library during the Grown-Up Book Fair on May 2 from 10:00-3:00.
Recapture the magic of school book fairs at this year's Grown-Up Book Fair! Visit with local vendors from independent book stores, local businesses, and purchase various items. Ten percent of all sales from the Grown-Up Book Fair will be donated back to the library.
Friends will have loads of good deals available, including Last Chance book carts, a fresh supply of our folded paper crafts made from recycled books, and our usual selection of excellent gently used books and puzzles.
Our Membership Table will be open for business and we encourage you to stop by and chat with us about the benefits of joining! If you'd like to join in the meantime, visit this link; we have three different membership levels.

We have several membership levels and would love to have you join us in our work supporting the Marion Public Library!
- Join as a Supporting Friend ($25 for one-year) and get a 5-punch card for FREE books, early access to our book sales (three times per year), and invites to Friends' events.
- Join as a Friend-for-Five ($100 for five years) and get TWO 5-punch cards for FREE books, early access to our books sale, and invites to Friends' events.
- BEST OPTION! Join as a Sustaining Friend ($5/month minimum) at get a 5-punch card for FREE books, early access to book sales, invites to Friends' events, and a FREE canvas book bag! (Consider us as a monthly Latte!)
