Enroll in the Friends Home Book Program
If you are homebound but would still like to be able to check out books and audio books from the Marion Library, we can help!
Friends of the Marion Public Library has a service called Friends Home Book Program, and if you enroll, our Friends will check out books to you and mail them to your home along with pre-paid return postage. All you need to do is complete our brief application form (included in this flyer) giving us permission to check out books on your account and telling us about your reading interests, and mail it back to us along with your library card. We will return your card to you with your first book order.
Haven't ever had a library card? Call the library at 319-377-3412 and tell them you'd like a library card for the Home Book Program. They'll take your information and mail you your new library card.
Do you know a reader who is homebound and who might enjoy this service? Please share our information! We'd love to have them sign up. Grab a flyer from the library or from the Friends book sales, or download one here. Email HomeBooks@marionpubliclibrary.org with any questions.
